"And one more girl was raped"

When will the time come when the daughters, mothers, wives and sisters will be able to walk on the streets of Delhi without the fear of being raped. Every time I take a step  outside my home, an agitation always bashes my body. What if someone is following me? What if someone throws acid on me? What if I get raped?

And when the fear, covers my soul, I think "how will I face my parents after that? How will my friends revert? Will they judge me? My life will be wrecked. I won't be able to do anything."

I seriously get resentful with this daily news of rapes. Everyday hundreds of girls are brutally raped. Some minors, some adults and some elder citizens (yes!). Even after all these things, only the girls are told to stay in the house and to take precautions.

Only the men drink. Ek achche ghar ki ladki sharaab nahi peeti (a reputed family’s daughter doesn’t drink). Aur jo karti hai aisi harkate, unke sath yahi hota hai (and whoever does that, they face rape).”

And what about "ache ghar ke ladke". Wasn't this supposed to be applicable to them too. But no. These so-called "rules" are for girls only. If a girl comes late, she is characterless. As Amitabh Bacchan said in the movie Pink, "humare yahan ghadi ki sui character decide karti hai".

It's such a pity that the country, where goddesses are worshipped with such zeal, can't even respect girls.

People often blame the clothing of girls for the rape. If a girl is wearing a short skirt, she will definitely get raped as her short clothes give a hint and she is inviting you for sex. If she laughs with you or she touches you, it's an open invitation that she wants to do something. India is a place where length of the clothes decide the character of a girl.

My college journey.

Then one day my cousin brother said "college life is preeminent. You will have great fun." And I was like how can going away from our old friends would make our life better.

Now, I am here. Finally a college going girl. And I am so happy to accept this fact that my life was never this splendid. As they say, in school, you worry about what looks cool but in college, you're too busy to care about what other people think.

Before entering college, my biggest fear was leaving my old friends behind and starting a new life with some random people. Maybe I wasn't prepared to leave my comfort zone.

I remember my first day of college. We went to Mall of India. That was a big move for me. I am a social person but going out with a bunch of people whom you just met some few hours ago, was definitely a decision.

It's almost two months since my college started, and I feel so serene with my batch mates. Some of them are really great and sometimes I feel, I've known them for years. Even the seniors are cool and extrovert. I don't even feel that they were strangers to me few days back.

There's one thing I've learned in college, that is, you never lose your old Friends. In fact, you add some people in that edition. I still meet my school Friends. I am still close to them. We still bond very well.

School was fun, but was restricted in some ways. College will cater you many opportunities to explore the surroundings and as well as yourself.

College will always keep you busy with it's activities. You will never be bored if you wanna do something.

If you are in school and afraid of college, don't be. Just prepare yourself for the best journey of your life.

We are same

How is loving someone wrong? Why do people change their perspective when it comes to LGBT people? Are they different? NO.

We all are humans. We are same. We have our basic rights to choose who we love. Society usually neglects the homosexual love. 

Sometimes LGBT people are not even accepted by their families. But who are we to decide which kind of love is wrong? Love is love. So what if a girl loves another girl or a guy loves another guy. It's their personal choice. Who are you talk shit about them. Major population of LGBT hide their sexuality due to fear of violence and discrimination. 

The worst thing that happens is when your family doesn't accept you for what you are. Family and friends should make them comfortable and give their unconditional love to them. 

All they need is your support to face the negative world. There is nothing wrong in being homosexual. Don't be afraid of the world. Try to come out of the closet. Be brave. Be you. If you hide this for a long time, it will gradually kill you. 

There are people out there who are living a happy and healthy life , who are absolutely fine and they happen to be gay as well.

People who say "homosexuals must be stopped", I might like to ask -from what ? Loving one another? Carrying on lives? I will also ask-why?

Man vs Male ?

Homo Sapiens, or the extant Human species, the self-proclaimed wisest species to make this planet its home. One very peculiar thing about the humans, they like to compare, compete with anything and everything. After establishing its superiority over rest of the species on the planet, they started a comparison among themselves based on the gender. Out of two, one was destined to lose.

Male, or a boy is given birth by a female, half the war is lost at this point only. Whatever he becomes in this lent life of his, he would always be beneath her. He might earn all the riches in the world, gain all the knowledge and still he can never be bigger, better than the lady, he will call mother his whole life. At some point in life when a male conflict with others, he would gather all the courage in world, to defend himself, even if he conflicts with his father, he may ready himself to lock horns with his father too. But against his mother, he never even stands a chance. All the courage, he can gather is useless in front of his mother. Whilst the most coward male, can draw tremendous courage if he has mother by his side.

While the first battle against the mother was completely one sided, the next battle he faces, is against his sister. A sister who would fight the world for him when she herself could tear him to pieces. The first friend he had and who will be by his side  through thick and thin. How could he afford to lose the first genuine friend, he ever had ? Every time he quarreled with her, whenever she is not around or she isn't talking to him, he was downhearted, wretched and sorrowful. Soon, he realized even this battle is not for him to win.

Losing all square within the family, he tried to be tough in society. His whole masculinity was shredded when his eyes encountered her. A friend with whom it was so easy for the tough guy like him to open up. He shared everything with her. It was her that compelled him to become better than his present self. For her, he learned the art of conversation. He would do anything for her attention, for her to talk to him. Her mere smile made him forget all the worldly possessions. Even when all the forces were against him, he fell for her and he fell hard. And he knew if she ever left, his world would be shattered. His heart will be broken and his entirety would cease to exist. And again a battle was lost.

During his lifetime, if he was lucky enough, he would get a chance to raise a female, a daughter. His Daughter. Among all the females he ever met, she would  be the most delicate one and yet he finds her happiness most powerful. He would even trade his life for her happiness and not think twice. First time when he held her in his arms, he knew his world is complete and for no reason his eyes were moist. He could feel her eyes peeping into his soul. As she grew, he was her first hero because a word against her and he would declare war against the world.

Finally, he realized a strange logic, only if all the battles were lost, then he can win the war. All the time, when he thought his war was against females, he was wrong. His war was against himself. Any battle won would have made him something other than what he was meant to be. But winning the war made him a HUMAN. He was born a male and only with the victory in this war, he became a MAN.

Not a long time ago, there was a water stream recently freed by a dominant group of foreign species. The waves were too violent for anything constructive to be done upon the stream. So, a group of "intellectuals" came up with an idea for soothing the water flow. They introduced valves in the water stream. The flow of water could now be controlled and waves were comparatively less violent now. The revolutionary idea of introducing valves, proved to be very successful and as time passed more valves were introduced, the water became calmer. Gradually the water flow became stable and the number of valves that could be introduced reached its saturation point. Water is now stagnant and no more violent.

Will introduction of any more valves do any good or would it just create ripples and lead to violent wave formation again?

The answer is pretty clear. Introduction of valves seemed a good idea in the beginning and also produced great results. But in long term, periodic introduction of valves without realizing the saturation point makes no sense at all.

Same is the case with the world's biggest democracy, India, right now. India has way too many reservations quotas for its own good. It was supposed to be a wonderful act for upbringing the backward classes and for establishing equality, but it is not helping its root cause anymore. It was like giving someone a name and then asking everyone not to call them by the very name given to them.

The Act of reservation of a class itself divides the people and violates the very cause it was supposed to accomplish. Reservation based on caste was short term solution to a problem so big that is costed the country its independence for almost 200 years ie. division.

The only good thing that happened to Indians was that they were united for the first time in the history. They stood together against the British to be free again. Now, the people are fighting to be divided again. Every social community is demanding for reservation. So what's next?

Only acceptable reservation that will sustain is the reservation based on the financial condition and physical disabilities. Only those people should get quota who cannot afford to get in some institution financially or are specially able, rest we all are very much same. So, the bottom line is no one deserves more or less than anyone. Everyone is born equal, should live equal and die equal. Nothing less, nothing more.

Yes one more thing each Lumia case also come with a numbered plate made of gold to show off.

The above mentioned gold numbered plate is a limited edition cover that will set fashion conscious purchasers back a whopping 1,950 euros, which is around $2175 USD as per the current exchange rates.

Sadly, the covers are only available for purchase in Italy.

Here is what Microsoft said about the collaboration:

“The collaboration with Damiani is the celebration of excellence, creativity and design, Damiani Jewellery and Microsoft technology.”

Damiani were also excited to launch this cover, they said that the diamond encrusted Lumia 950 cover is a ‘jewel for life’.

They stated :

“We are so very proud to offer our customers a phone that has the ability to turn into a jewel for life as well as an after sales service dedicated that buy the smart phone”

And Damiani will be shipping the covers to its customers with some special packaging too. (shown in the pic)

The price tag of the covers would definitely make even the biggest Lumia fans among us to might think twice before purchasing it.

The Amazing Leicester City Story Continues!

Leicester City F.C. continued their super dream run as they marched past apparently the "bigger" club  Manchester City. Foxes overwhelmed the mighty Manchester club in their home ground, who spent more than twice the total market value of their opponents in the summer transfer window and still struggled to find the back of net with ball until 87th minute, when the Argentine striker Sergio Aguero bagged a consolation goal for his club. Leicester City grabbed the lead early in the game when the tall defender Robert Huth scored from short range, fed from a free kick by Riyad Mahrez. Manchester City  fans felt as if they had a deja vu when Foxes scored again in the starting minutes of second half. This time, it was Riyad Mahrez, who did a step-over and slotted the ball in the near corner as Joe Hart was stood between the bars helpless, just like rest of his team mates. Huth scored again with a brilliant header and everyone who witnessed the goal, could not believe the scoreline as last season when these two teams played each other the Manchester club topped the league table and Leicester was at the bottom. While every neutral fan, who expected this fixture to be an exciting contest, was left disappointed with the lackluster performance from the two time premier league champions as the final score was Manchester City 1-3 Leicester City.

Now, there is a question in every premier league fan's head : "Is any other club big enough to deny the foxes their league title this year ?" . 

Probably not!  

 

Ever since the beginning of the current season, Leicester City has played like a champion and there are just two fixtures when they didn't collect any points. Foxes have displayed a brand of attacking football, which was long lost in this era of premier league. An era, where success was equated to the amount spent in the transfer window. Last two season winners, both Chelsea and Manchester City have virtually unlimited resources and are second to none when it comes to big money signings.

This ain't no dream Fox

Leicester City is now 5 points ahead of its closest rival the  North London club Tottenham Hotspurs and are expected to maintain that gap till the end of the season as next weekend they travel to Emirates Stadium after which they have comparatively easier fixtures. So if they can maintain their current form, nothing can stop Manager Claudio Ranieri's side to claim the English Premier League title. 

Coming this close to their ultimate prize and glory, they cannot afford to get complacent and slip down the league table. Personally I would like to bet my money on them and wish, they win the league title this season.
